Who we are
Roddy Langley started out in the insurance industry in 1977 and worked in the London (re)insurance and UK General Insurance markets for brokers Marsh, Willis, Heath Lambert and the Miller Group. In 2001 he took on responsibility for the PR and marketing communications at electronic trading start-up RI3K, before founding Lysander PR in 2007.
A former B2B editor and now a PR specialist, Helen Wright has a deep respect for the value of independent journalism, good writing and tenacious thinking. After a career in publishing, including cutting her teeth as a reporter for a leading publication embedded in the international (re)insurance market, Helen joined forces with Roddy in 2017 and is co-Director of Lysander PR.
Non-Executive Chairman Matthew Pragnell is currently CEO of CGM Gallagher Group and brings a wealth of (re)insurance experience to Lysander PR. He began his career in the London Market in 1981 with CT Bowring before moving to Hogg Robinson, and was appointed Managing Director of International Insurance Brokers in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1996, which evolved to the CGM Gallagher Group in 2012.
Non-Executive Director Tom Allen leads a team of International Professional Indemnity wholesale brokers at Tysers. He began life in Lloyd’s as a fine art and jewellery placing and claims broker for Duveen & Walker in 1982, and has enjoyed successful senior roles at C.E. Heath, and Howden Insurance Brokers before launching Prime Professions’ International Wholesale Division in 2006.
David Benyon is a freelance journalist, editor and content writer who joined the graduate scheme at Incisive Media in 2007 before spending seven years at Euromoney, rising through the ranks to become Editor of Reactions magazine. He then joined Newsquest as European Editor for Strategic Risk.
David joins the team as a Freelance Consultant and brings with him his considerable experience.
With many years experience in insurance operations management, Kylie brings a wealth of insight to her role as Operations Manager at Lysander PR. Her deep understanding of how the nuts and bolts of insurance operations can be streamlined and made more efficient is instrumental in our commitment to constantly improving and developing the most efficient, transparent and collaborative ways of working with our colleagues and clients.
Lysander PR is incredibly lucky to work with Tony, who is not only an expert when it comes to Social Media content strategy, with many years of experience in publishing, but is also a professional skateboarder (the world freestyle skating champion no less). We benefit hugely from the fresh perspective, insights and diverse skill set that Tony brings to his role as our Social Media Manager.
